Change of Venue for Quilting this Monday October 17th, 2016, only.

Square One Quilters.

Due to the Catholic Church receiving their apples  a head of time for their apple pie sale, the ladies of the church need the hall to make their pies  for the  sale......., hence our quilting day on 
Monday October 17^th, at the Church hall will be cancelled,  but, 

Dorris has arranged our quilting day to take place at Moody on Monday, October 17^th,  2016. 
Start time 9:00 am.,  to 3 pm.

Also, Dorris, has added her list of Materials required for the Amish Folded Star Hot Pad, scheduled for Monday the 24th, October at the Church Hall.

 Amish Folded Star Hot Pad

Materials required:

         1, 10” x 10” scrap fabric (lightweight, muslin)

5, 3” squares for centre of star.  One to use as background and other four go around the centre.

8, 4” x 4” squares for 2^nd color.

8, 4 ½” x 4 ½” squares for 3^rd color.

8, 5” x 5” squares for outside color.

7 ½” circle template (just out of cardboard).  I have one and people can use mine if they wish.

Insul Bright cut to a 7 ½” circle. 

Backing material cut to a 7 1/2” circle.

Binding – I use the bought bias tape, extra wide, double fold to match with my hot pad, or you can make your own bias binding.

Sewing machine, thread, scissors etc…..

Then the fun begins!!!!!!
