We loved it

Scrap Quilt Instructions

 Okay so here are the instructions and a better picture.  The finished size will be about 72x72 from what I can figure.

 

Start with a 10” foundation piece and trim down to 9 1/2” when finished.

 

Do 32 blocks with half light and half dark/medium.  I figured out how to do this – draw a line from corner to corner.  Take a light strip and a dark/medium strip and place them right sides together 1/4” past the line you have drawn.  When you sew at a quarter inch you should be sewing right on the line which will be the centre.  Then work one side with the light with flip and sew and the other side with the dark/medium.

 

Do 16 blocks with all dark/medium.

 

Do 16 blocks with all lights.

 

When all done we will arrange to make the star.

Welcome home to our travelling quilters. Really nice to see Willy and Louise back safe and sound and also Joan who has has been dealing with health issues and is on the road to recovery.  We have missed you all!! 

Dorothy and her daughter Fiona worked on bag projects together during the Easter break.

It is remarkable how she cuts and places each piece of flower fabric to adopt an art quilt of her dog Daisy.
